Wax Model Of Shah Rukh

Facts you never knew about SRK

We will tell you facts about Shahrukh that everyone might not know. Here is a sneak peak into Shahrukh’s life.

2nd November 1965. In New Delhi's Talwar Nursing Home, to parents Mir Taj Muhammad and Lateef Fatima, was born a young boy. For the family, that lived in Rajinder Nagar, a middle class locality in the national capital, it was time to rejoice and celebrate the newly born.

When he was just four years of age, Shah Rukh happened to throw a rock at a neighborhood boy because of which the latter's teeth broke. Late at night that day, the child's father came to the house in an inebriated state while wielding a knife. Shah Rukh's father coolly opened the door and when this man threatened to kill his son for what he had done, he crosschecked with Shah Rukh as to whether or not he had committed the act of mischief. When the child confessed, the dad asked him to go out and explain himself to the man who was not only drunk but also armed. Shah Rukh had to go outside and apologize for his deed.

Shah Rukh had won the Raman Subramanyam Award in Class X (1982-83) for character, all round performance in studies, sports and extra curricular activities and the Sword of Honour in Class XII (1984-85) for the Best all round performance, loyalty, obedience, integrity and sportsmanship.

The college where he studied was Delhi University's Hans Raj College, and Shah Rukh did his Economics Honours from the institution between 1985-88. When Hans Raj celebrated its Golden Jubilee, the college gave away 17 shields to its alumni who had excelled in their lives and professions and Shah Rukh was one of them.

After graduating from Hans Raj, he went on to join Jamia Milia Islamia's Mass Communications Research Centre to do his masters in filmmaking and journalism.

Shah Rukh had a solid theatre background and had worked with an institution like Barry John in New Delhi.

Shah Rukh was, in fact uncomfortably possessive about his lady love (Gauri), whom he lovingly calls Gaurima. So much so that he would pick up a quarrel with her even if she let her hair down…literally. Finally, Gauri lost her cool and without informing Shah Rukh, came down to Bombay. Shah Rukh followed her to the huge city and kept looking for her around the beaches because of his awareness that she was attracted to them in a big way. Later, a cab guy advised him to go to Aksa Beach and Gorai Beach. After searching frantically, he managed to track her down when she was standing in the water! Isn’t that filmi?

One of the reasons why Shah Rukh bought Mannat, his palatial bungalow, was since he wanted to have an exclusive prayer room. Shah Rukh says that if he were broke, he will sell everything except Mannat

Both the children, Aryan (13th November 1997) and Suhana (23rd May 2000) have been taught to revere the co-existence of Ganpati and Allah in the Khan household. How wonderfully they are being brought up manifests itself in the story that when Shah Rukh was having a critical neck surgery, Aryan went to the temple and said an Islamic prayer so that his father could get well soon.

Shahrukh Khan is a Muslim but celebrates Diwali and Christmas along with Eid every year. He keeps a Lakshmi Pooja every year in his office and at home. He even has a Christmas tree at home. From all the festivals Shahrukh’s kids love Christmas the most.

Shahrukh Khan has the holy Quran Bismillah kept along with the idols of Indian Gods at his place. His kids pray to both the God’s simultaneously.

Shahrukh Khan can be managed best only by his wife as she understands him the most. She is the only person who can command Shahrukh to do things. Infact Shahrukhs’s daughter Suhana imitates Gauri Khan very well by saying in a strict voice, “Shahrukh, eat your food.”

Shahrukh never asks anything for himself from God. It is always his family and his close people he asks for. But whenever he wants to ask for himself, he never goes to a temple but goes to his parent’s grave. He believes that whatever he will ask there will be fulfilled and yes most of them have come true which makes Shahrukh’s belief all the more strong.

Shahrukh requires a lot of his own space for himself and his near and dear ones understand that. Whenever Shahrukh is angry, he needs to be left alone or you will only make him angrier.

Shahrukh loves watching movies in the darkness of his car. He loves watching movies alone and peacefully.

Shahrukh is a complete game freak. In fact he turns everyone around him into a gaming freak. The latest game that Shahrukh is playing is Smackdown versus Raw which is a wrestling game. Shahrukh can’t wait to get his hands on the new Play Station 3 as he is not an XBOX fan.

Shahrukh studied at St. Columbus School and he believes that it is the best school in the whole world not because he studied in it, but because he feels they are very disciplined.

Shahrukh still remembers his first fan who is a lady. She was his fan even before he became a film star or a famous televison star. She remembers him since his theater days. She shouted Shahrukh’s name on the middle of the road when she spotted him. Shahrukh still cannot forget that moment.

For Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Shah Rukh had taken a signing amount of Rs 5,000 and did the entire film for Rs. 25,000.

Shah Rukh had signed a movie called Jadoo co-starring Raveena Tandon, Anupam Kher & Navneet Nishan to be directed by Pavan Kaul. But Shah Rukh refused to kiss Navneet who was playing a vampish role. Shah Rukh had promised himself that he would never kiss any actress on-screen. And, he has stuck to this till today.

Calcutta has a unique Shah Rukh Khan club that was founded by a Khan admirer Arnab Roy on 13th December 1995 after the release of DDLJ. The club established its own SRK museum in January 2002 and its members were thrilled when Shah Rukh himself visited them on 7th August 20.

SRK says...

On Marriage
It’s nice to be married. You know you come back home from twenty thousand people who are screaming and shouting for you and than you come back to your wife… I think is a great leveler.

On Gauri
I was eighteen and she was fourteen when we met. What I liked about her was that I didn’t find it as difficult as I thought talking to a girl.

On Parents
My Father was very sweet, soft spoken man.
He was the youngest freedom fighter for India actually. My mother was the opposite. She was outgoing and had a very attractive personality. She said I was like Dilip Kumar.

At Home
There are some unsaid rules. I will not make a phone call once I'm in the house. So you'll always see me making a phone call from the bathroom….. I close the door and then talk

On Mumbai
I think it's the greatest city in the world. It’s very important to my life and to me. I'll always be thankful that Mumbai has given me a family, and actually Mumbai has given me a life.

On Acting
For me, acting is very spiritual. It combines as sorts of soulful, religious and spiritual things that people do.

On time off
I don’t get excited going out but all my friends make fun that I keep saying that but I shop the most. I keep buying gadgets and stuff and I call them my “utterly useless shopping”.

On fans photographing
The only time I find people invasive is when I am eating. When I’m eating I don’t like people looking at me.

On time
I think time passes by very, very fast. I don’t ever have time to grow old. It’s so fast. I have this feeling that I am running a few days late in life.

Public persona
There has to be now a public face very clearly. And that public face is always smiling. And I’m tired. And I’m sometimes in a bad mood. But I cannot pass that onto people.

What's gone wrong with Indian cricket?

When T S Eliot wrote 'The Hollow Men' in 1925, he was reflecting on the depression and sadness that had enveloped mankind in the aftermath of World War I. On Friday, the 23rd (March), 11 'hollow men' in pale blue jerseys ended their World Cup campaign, not with a bang but a whimper that sent a billion Indians into mourning. The World Cup of cricket is no World War, even though marketing whiz kids would have you believe it is, but Team India's inglorious display in the Caribbean has left behind a trail of such devastation that it would have left even Winston Churchill shaking his head in disbelief.

Ask Greg Chappell who presided over the disaster, or the selectors who chose India's 'dogs of war' for cricket's quadrennial battle for supremacy, or the BCCI mandarins, who appointed them. You may get different versions of the tragic tale, but no concrete answers, for it's time to play - passing-the-buck, which is easy to play because there are no winners or losers in this game. It can be played endlessly, or till they get bored with it and go back their favourite pastime - cricket administration.

It is always easy to find scapegoats to slaughter. In Indian sports, administrators, who are known to wield the axe as effectively as quacks handle scalpels, are so obsessed with protecting their own regimes that the 'patient' usually dies. The 'spin doctors' of Indian cricket that is ailing believe in only treating the symptom not the disease. A correct diagnosis has never been made simply because not many 'experts' are qualified enough to make one, or their prescriptions have never been filled.

Indian cricket has many problems. A system that breeds mediocrity, over-hyped stars who could put Bollywood to shame, a plethora of cricket 'academies' that spin money, but don't teach kids how to spin a ball, an army of self-proclaimed coaches with dodgy records and a variety of officials who know as much about cricket as we know about PILCOM accounts. Let's take a close look at critical areas that led to the disaster:

THE PLAYERS
If Team India has not been able to make winning a habit, it's because they still rely on individual brilliance rather than collective effort. Indian cricket has always been about stars and a very rigid star system that has eaten into the team fabric. As a result, we have had great players and great captains, but never a great team. Trouble starts when the stars, who enjoy fanatic following, often become larger than the game. Reputations rule Indian cricket, not performance. With little, or no formal coaching at the junior level, most Indian players struggle to do the basics correctly.
Loads of money, five-star treatment, the best equipment and technology that money can buy and an all-imported support staff have all failed to change the mindset of Indian players who are worried only about keeping their place in the team.

THE COACH
When Greg Chappell was hired by the BCCI in 2005, he was given two years to prepare the team for the 2007 World Cup. On paper, it looked a fair enough deal, but the hard-nosed Australian had not bargained for the resistance to change put up by some of the senior pros. Having encountered turbulence early on, Chappell started focusing on juniors in a bid to build a 'new' Team India where the team came first. It paid off initially, but once the raw talent faltered, Chappell bowed to pressures from the players' lobby, which enjoyed tacit support of the BCCI and selectors. Perhaps, this is where Chappell made one compromise too many as 'the process' as well as India's Cup campaign got derailed. It's perhaps ironical that none of 'Chappell prodigies', who made the World Cup squad, figured in the three matches that India played.

THE CAPTAIN
Rahul Dravid's body language at the best of times sends out negative signals. Clearly under pressure in the Caribbean, he resembled Hercules weighed down by the earth on his shoulders. Against Bangladesh, when his team was desperate for a breakthrough, he looked jittery and faltered with field placements and bowling changes after having erred in judgment early on by choosing to bat first. Unlike Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene, who looked always in control, Dravid was short of ideas when things didn't go as per plan.

THE SELECTORS
Not for nothing have they been the favourite whipping boys of Indian cricket. With successive generations of players with questionable credentials assuming the hot seat, selectorial exercises have only helped in fuelling controversies. Kiran More subscribed to Chappell's team-building exercise, but his successor, Dilip Vengsarkar, clearly didn't. As a result, we had a World Cup squad that looked good from far, but turned out to be far from good. We now have a situation where Team India has to be rebuilt from a scratch and without any definite roadmap.

THE BCCI
It's perhaps the only non-profit making organisation in the world with a turnover of an MNC. Zero-accountability is the mantra here. The only account it's interested in is of the credit and debit variety. It's easier to get into the Indian team than in the BCCI, or any of its 30-odd affiliated units which operate much like the banana republics of the world. Those lucky to seize power, by hook or by crook, build their own little kingdoms and live off the game without contributing much to it. Organising an international cricket match gives them a high, so what if paying spectators are often treated worse than prisoners of war in the captivity of death-traps that masquerade as stadiums. They don't believe in holding anyone accountable, nor do they like to be held likewise. They are allergic to public criticism, but rely on their short memory to ride over the rough weather. Despite being flush with funds, development of cricket or its infrastructure is as far removed from their agenda as Pluto is from Mercury. Such a non-committal and please-all approach breeds mediocrity and piles up deadwood, preventing an efficient administration. This, in turn, affects the players and team performance, as we saw on Friday.

TOO MUCH CRICKET
A kind of play-win situation exists in Indian cricket where everyone - players, opponents and cricket Boards and its ancillaries - earns more if they play more. The greed for greenbacks is so great that it often prompts players to hide injuries and carry on. This only leads to more serious injuries in the long term, but also does not allow out-of-form players to go back to domestic cricket to sort things out. With top players busy playing international cricket round-the-year, the standard of domestic cricket has fallen to the extent that good performances here go unrewarded as they are generally played either on featherbeds or underprepared tracks. This leaves hundreds of first-class cricketers with no motivation to excel.

Malignant Peritoneal Mesothelioma

Malignant Peritoneal Mesothelioma is neoplasm arising from the serosal lining of the peritoneal and pericardial cavities. Primary tumors arising from the peritoneal mesothelioma are extremely rare. The accurate diagnosis of the diffuse peritoneal mesothelioma is important because it almost invariably has a fatal outcome. In many cases, malignant peritoneal mesothelioma is not diagnosed until after surgery or autopsy. The distinction of the malignant peritoneal mesothelioma from tumors metastatic to the serosal membranes can often be made based on the results of histochemical studies.

The most common symptoms of malignant peritoneal mesothelioma are difficulty in breathing, chest pain, or both. Other symptoms include weight loss, fever, night sweats, cough, and a general feeling of not being well, although these symptoms are not as common.

The standard treatment for the malignant peritoneal mesothelioma is not curative. Aggressive treatment will enable some patients to experience long-term survival, but it is still unclear whether overall survival rates would be significantly changed by different treatments or combinations of treatments. There are different treatments available for the malignant peritoneal mesothelioma, depending upon the state of its diagnosis. For stage one, that is localized malignant peritoneal Mesothelioma, standard treatments are malignant peritoneal mesothelioma, intracavitary mesothelioma, intracavitary chemotherapy following resection.

For stages 2 to 4, that is advanced malignant peritoneal mesothelioma, treatments available are symptomatic treatment to include drainage of effusions, chest tube pleurodesis, or thoracoscopic pleurodesis, palliative surgical resection in selected patients, palliative radiation therapy, single-agent chemotherapy, and multimodality clinical trials.

To date, there are no treatment approaches that have been shown to improve survival or control symptoms for a prolonged period of time. But with the advancement in the field of technology and medicine, there is hope that some day, doctors will be able to defeat the tumor and come out with some life-saving treatment against this dreadful tumor.

Mesotherapy provides detailed information about mesotherapy, cost of mesotherapy, mesotherapy before and after, mesotherapy injections and more. Mesotherapy is the sister site of Mesothelioma Doctors Info.

The Diffrent types of Mesothelioma : Peritoneal Mesothelioma

Peritoneal Mesothelioma is the name given to the cancer that attacks the lining of the abdomen. This type of cancer is caused by asbestos exposure, and it affects the lining that protects the contents of the abdomen and which also provides a lubricating fluid to enable the organs to move and work properly.

This disease is sometimes referred to as diffuse peritoneal mesothelioma, and this is where the cancer has spread out. Accountable for around ten percent of mesothelioma cases, this type asbestos-related cancer is the second most common (after Pleural Mesothelioma).

There are a number of symptoms for this disease. However, like all other types of mesothelioma, there is a very long latency period, and symptoms may not become evident for decades after exposure. This means that by the time symptoms have begun, it is often already too late to offer any real constructive treatment. Further delay can be caused due to the fact that the symptoms are generally non-specific and can therefore be attributed to a number of more common ailments. Unless your doctor is aware that you have been exposed to asbestos in the past, he or she is likely to look at other options before even contemplating mesothelioma. It is therefore important to let your doctor know of any exposure to this substance.

The symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma include: abdominal pains and weakness; weight loss; nausea; loss off appetite; abdominal swelling; bowel obstruction. Depending on the location of the tumour, additional problems can be experienced such as breathing problems and severe pains.

Treatment for peritoneal mesothelioma can also vary, and is dependant upon a number of factors. The doctor, once a diagnosis has been made, will make a recommendation based upon details such as: the extent of the cancer and how advanced it is; the patient’s general condition and health; past medical history of the patient; and the patient’s age.

Treatments include:

Surgery: This entails cutting out part of the lining and tissue from the abdomen in order to remove the tumour. Whether or not surgery is performed and how much tissue is removed will depend on how far the cancer has spread and how big the tumour is. It may sometimes be necessary to remove a lung or part of the diaphragm in order for surgery to succeed in removal of the tumour.

Radiation Therapy: This is where high energy x-rays are used to shrink tumours and kill off cancerous cells in the affected area. There are two ways to administer radiation therapy. The first is through external means, where a machine is placed outside the body and emits radiation through the body. The second is by placing a source of radiation directly to the affected area by way of plastic tubes. As well as administering the radiation treatment through the tubes, doctors are also able to administer any required drugs this way.

Chemotherapy: This is where a combination of drugs is used to try and kill off cancer cells. Drugs can be administered by mouth in tablet form, or you may have to have them administered intravenously via needle into a vein or a muscle. The drug can then enter the blood stream and travel through the body, hopefully killing off any cancer cells along the way.

Peritoneal Mesothelioma is responsible for many deaths each year. Although it is not the most common form of this cancer, many new cases come to light each year. However, with continued research and clinical trials, it may be possible to one day make this a curable disease.

Or you could go for the more traditional halloween costumes - ghosts, witches, pumpkins, ghouls and monsters.

Once you've decided on who or what you want to be it's time to search for items that can be used to create your own halloween costume.

The easiest place to start is at home. Look around from room to room and see what things you can find that might fit in with the halloween character you've chosen. The History of Halloween Music

by EZ-Tracks

Some may debate whether Bobby Pickett’s “Monster Mash” or the beginning of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D minor” was the first music to unequivocally be associated with Halloween, while other’s may insist that nothing truly scary made an impact on the national consciousness until the Starland Vocal Band released “Afternoon Delight”.

No matter what you associate musically with Halloween, the songs and themes that seem to pop up year after year around October 31st have certainly made an impact. Unlike Christmas Music, which has a rich tradition (aside from the deplorable “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”), Halloween music is almost exclusively a product of the 20th century.

The number of purely musical releases are few and far between. Most recognizable Halloween themes were a byproduct from the film and television industry. Consider Ray Parker Jr’s “Ghostbusters”, which was originally titled “I Want a New Drug” and performed by Huey Lewis and the News. It not only rose to the top of the charts, but has also enjoyed many subsequent years of airplay because of the Halloween season, much to the chagrin of anyone who can’t appreciate the beauty of rhyming “dose” with “ghost”.

Even more popular are the sound bites from various horror franchises. Who can forget the busy yet astonishingly creepy theme to John Carpenter’s “Halloween” or the scary, slow building strings that John Williams wrote for Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws”? And dare we not include Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” from the movie Titanic. Talk about frightening!

Indeed, movie and TV themes such as “The Twilight Zone”, written and performed by Neil Norman & His Cosmic Orchestra, seem to resonate with more appeal than novelty songs written with monster mayhem in mind. Personally, I blame the song “The Blob” which was written and performed by the ingeniously named The Five Blobs for setting a terrible precedence. It’s not easy to adequately convey the urgent need to “be careful of the blob” with monotone vocals and music that sounds fresh from an Annette Funicello, Franky Avalon surf picture, but somehow all five blobs managed.

No matter what music puts you in the mood for frightening fun this Halloween season, it’s almost a given that you’ll hear it somewhere. Whether it comes from the television, the radio, or via the humming of that co-worker in the cubical next to your who you never were all that sure about, Halloween music is indeed here to stay.

Halloween Trick or Treat- Earn While You scare

by Sean Carter

Knock your neighbors' doors and wait...you can get a chocolate bar or a scary look. This is the fun we have in the tricking or treating on 31st October. Halloween is here again! Trick or Treat is basically an U.S. trend to celebrate Halloween. The whole concept is highly interesting. The children dress up in scary costumes and they go from door to door yelling “trick or treat?” The trick is usually a scary one and the treat is all about chocolates and small candies. The neighbors are also ready to give a gruesome welcome in tune with the Halloween mood. The children love to roam with their bags and try to make it heavy with gifts as soon as possible.

Nowadays treat is more popular than trick. As Halloween comes in the season of apple harvests, the most common treat item is candy apples. Nuts and sticky syrup go very well with the apples. But this treat is no more popular with the children as the rumor goes- the apples have blades or razors in them for tricking people. These can be dangerous for the children.

In Ireland “barmbrack” is the favorite Halloween treat for all. A plain ring is placed in the light fruit cake before baking. If anyone finds it out, he or she will get his or her true love on that particular year.

In Scotland trick is done to earn a good treat. The children impress the neighbors with their style of costumes and then recite poems, songs and play tricks to get nuts and dried fruits. The common song of the time is “The sky is blue, the grass is green, may we have our Halloween”. The children usually earn sixpence along with their gifts. But very small children are afraid of the scary looks and they themselves get frightened at the time of participation.

The gruesome disguises resembling vampires, witches and devils give out a ghostly experience to the participants. The trick lacks color if the guises are not scary enough to bring sweat on your forehead. After September 11 attack Islamic terrorists' costumes were in much demand during Halloween celebr. Each year a new trend emerges which catches the fancy of the youngsters. In 2004, spider man's costume was a rage. Though the tricks are not so widely practiced as it used to be yet vandalism in all forms are still on the chart

The teens and adults enjoy their Halloween mood in a different way. They go for scary costume parties and love to listen to Halloween songs. They also like to stage a gruesome horror play or characters in a “haunted house” to have a taste of the trick. The party, drinks and odd costumes are Halloween celebrations although it may sound weird when we try to associate these with an event related to the harvest of apples.

UNICEF in North America has given a new dimension to the trick and treat game. The mission started in 1950 in Philadelphia. Small boxes are given to children so that they can get donations from their neighbors while they are out collecting the gifts. The school students take part in this noble program and UNICEF collects the money from their assigned schools. So, this is not just the time to get into gruesome activities and games but also to think of those who cannot take part in fun parties.

Halloween Ecards- Get Best Of The Net Free

by CD Mohatta

Halloween is the time to send Ecards to friends. Halloween is the time to send Ecards to family. How to get Free Halloween Ecards? One must share the fun of Halloween but how to get very good quality Ecards that look different and don’t cost? Let me tell you.

Free Halloween Ecards - tips on selection

Internet offers paid and free, both kinds of Ecards. How to get the best at no cost? Let me give you few tips.

1. Search for Free Halloween Ecards. It is not necessary that the best Ecards will be always on the first page of search results. That may be even in the third or fourth page. Search engine searches with different criteria and the first result need not be best for you. Therefore look at few websites. The very first page - home of the website should give you idea about the quality of the content. Ask these questions- is the homepage well laid out? Are the fonts and colors pleasing? Does the design look professional? Does the website offer small content or large content? Once you are sure that you have located a good website, click the Halloween Ecards.

2. View few Free Halloween Ecards. Look at the colors. Is the size right? Or the Ecard is very small? Is the Ecard designed in flash or plain JPG? If they are JPG, move to another website.

3. What about the Ecards text? Does it evoke the spirit of Halloween? Listen to the music. Is the music matching the mood of the Ecards? If not, select another.

4. Does the Free Halloween Ecard open and begin playing immediately? Or you have to click the Ecard to play? The later is good because it gives you the opportunity to view the Ecard carefully and enjoy it. The Ecards that begin playing immediately as they open give no opportunity to the recipient to watch it and enjoy. He/she will have to replay it again to view it. Why trouble the recipient? Send an Ecard that has to be played. That will give enough time to watch the Ecard.

5.Write whatever message you want below the Ecard. The message should be personal- between you and the recipient. Make it sound funny and nostalgic. The final test of a good message is simple- will it make the recipient feel good? If yes, go ahead. Send as many free Ecards as you wish.
